Unibet Streaming Review
Unibet is currently operational in several states within the USA, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They have grown the platform from just a sports betting site into one that now supports a full casino range too, but for the purposes of this review, we will focus on one particular feature – live streaming at Unibet.
We will kick things off by stating that live streaming is available at this online sportsbook, and there are many sports that are streamed each and every year. This is a set up in a unique way however, as Unibet has a product known as ‘Unibet TV’, which is where you can stream the games.
How to access the streaming service
First and foremost, you need to register an account with Unibet to gain access to the live streaming services. You must also have placed a wager within the last 24 hours, or have a funded account – these are the standard requirements for the service. Now, let’s look at how you can actually load up the streams from both the desktop and mobile app.
- Create an account with Unibet and deposit some funds into your account
- Then head to the section shown as ‘live’ in the top left corner of the site
- The full range of live events will be shown after clicking this link, so just choose a desired event
- Click the play button shown to begin the stream
- Download the respective Unibet app for your device (iOS or Android)
- Create your account or sign in if you already have one
- Make sure that you have funds in your account, and if not, be sure to deposit some
- Choose the live section and select an event of your choice
In order to conduct a full analysis of the Unibet live stream, we had to look at several different features. This included the range of events covered, the quality of the stream, as well as the access requirements to use this service. You can find details of this below:
- Event coverage
Unibet really has become a master in covering an enormous range of sporting events. They cover hundreds if not thousands of sporting events on an annual basis, but as it stands, the live streaming services only cover select sports.
- Stream quality
Regardless of the sport that you are actually trying to stream, the quality that you will find is excellent. This is especially true if you choose a live streaming event while using the mobile app or mobile site, for the events appear to be shown in HD.
- Access requirements
To live stream sports with Unibet, it isn’t entirely free, although the access requirements are still quite friendly. Providing that you've made a bet within the last 24-hours or that you have some funds in your betting account, you can access as many streamed events as you like.
User Interface, how it functions?
The interface that Unibet follows is very similar to other sportsbooks in the USA. They have chosen to incorporate the streamed events within the live betting section, and they always indicate whether you can stream an event by the little TV symbol. Given that they have set it up in this way, it does make it really easy to find what events can currently be viewed.
Which sports are covered?
As surprising as this may seem, the live streaming feature with Unibet hasn't been around for an awfully long time, especially not in the USA. The site is adding more and more sports to their streaming service every single month, but for now, members are only able to access select sports such as basketball, tennis, and certain European soccer leagues.
Any special features unique to the Bookmaker
- Starting soon
This was quite a good feature that we noticed in the sportsbook, as it allows you to take note of upcoming events up to several days in advance. This removes the need to go and explore any third party sites to try and find when sports betting events are taking place. You can even flag a particular event if you like, and Unibet will send you a reminder for when the event draws closer.
- In-play markets
Out of all of the key features of the Unibet sportsbook, we would say that this was one of the most impressive. By clicking on the live now section, as seen in the top left corner of the sportsbook, you will notice tons of in-play markets for the majority of sports that Unibet has available. This includes soccer, football, basketball, and many other events.
Bonuses and Offers
As it currently stands, all new members that join the Unibet platform will get $20 without the need to deposit anything. On top of the no deposit bonus, Unibet is offering a $250 risk-free bet. Essentially, you can make your first sports bet of up to $250, and if this bet loses, Unibet will give you the cashback as a free sports bet.
This really isn't a bad welcome offer at all, and it's definitely one of the better ones that we have seen so far in 2020.
Unibet Streaming Review: So Far So Good – 4/5
It was clear from this review that the Unibet streaming service is still in the rollout phase. For this reason, there will obviously be some teething problems to sort out in the beginning, but there are very promising signs. It's already fantastic that they're covering events such as major tennis tournaments and NBA games, and it would appear that they are constantly adding to this list.
It's also highly beneficial that the streams are shown with great quality, and that all you need to do is have a funded account or have placed a recent wager to access them. The final cherry on the cake was that live streaming can be enjoyed from a sophisticated mobile app. When we consider all these features together, we would say that Unibet is off to a flying start.
